From Doug & Carol Sheaffer:
Please be in prayer for my nephew, Jay Saunders.
He was in a motorcycle wreck and is in critical condition in Arizona.
His Mom (my sister) lives with him there.
He had a leg amputated and is an induced coma with undtermined brain injuries.
He has been given last rites.
Please pray for his healing and for the family's peace and comfort.
It's truly in the Lord's hands now as the doctors have little hope for recovery.

Good Morning,

Hope things are going well at New Life and there is plenty of SONSHINE there for all who come in those doors.
Have been meaning to get a message to you about my brother, but had co. and stuff so didn't get it done sooner.
My brother Rick was in ICU a few days last week with what was possible sepsis and then had a stroke that affected his right side.
Over the week-end he was moved to a regular room and is able to move his rt. leg, but not his rt. arm.
They are working on getting him to a rehab ctr. to give him intense physical therapy and to improve his swallowing efficiency.
He had started a new job 3 weeks ago so don't know what will happen with his job. He is 57 years old so it is sad.
Most of all he needs the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ so we need prayers for him in that regard, as well as his physical healing.
Also, strength for his wife.
I am so impressed with the results of prayers from people at NLAG in Ilwaco, Wa. that I wanted all of you to know this situation so you can all add to your prayer list.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
Much Love, Doris Anderson

Please be in prayer for my daughter-in-law, Angi.
She had a pain hit her about 11:00 this morning in her neck and finally gave up and went to the Er .
They tried doing lumber punctures 5x but could get no fluid.
The took her to OHSU by ambulance to do an angiogram. Jason and the girls are on their way there.
Her cat scan did not show anything. Thank you for praying for them.

We would appreciate if you could pray for Doug.
He has been suffering with migraines the past few weeks.
And, was in Col. Mem. Hospital ER last evening until this morning.
The need was to first rid of the pain, and to try and locate where it was coming from.
And to rule out aneurism. So CT scan was done as well as Spinal tap, which both were clear.
However, Dr. said this is not to rule out that one could be on the fringe of a reveal.
Therefore when he see's his Dr. on Friday he may consider to refer Doug to have a MRI done.
So Doug is home being medicated for the on going migraines. Still in much discomfort.
Thank You So Much!

Here is an update on Lorraine.
She is doing well – they are still looking for swelling in her hand to go down.
As a result they are admitting her to what is called a “swing bed” program.
It means that she stays at the hospital for her recuperation even though her condition is not acute.
It is like convalescent care without going to a nursing home or assisted living facility.
She will be working with Physical Therapists to restore any lost mobility and learn to work around the “temporary” disability.
She is in room 6 at Ocean Beach Hospital and is allowed visitors and phone calls.
Pray for her recovery and you are welcome to visit or call.
